Apostille

We obtain the apostille on your documents for use in any country that is party to the Hague Convention.

An apostille is a certificate created by the 1961 Hague Convention that confirms the authenticity of a public document — the signature, the capacity of the person who signed it and the seal. North Macedonia is party to the Convention, so a document bearing an apostille is recognised in every other member country without further embassy legalisation.

We file the request with the competent authority, follow it through and return the document to you with the apostille attached. Because the order of steps matters, we plan the whole procedure: apostille on the original first, then the certified translation and — where the destination country requires it — an apostille on the translation as well. Through our international network we also arrange apostilles on documents issued in other countries.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an apostille or legalisation?

If the country where you will use the document is party to the Hague Convention, an apostille. If not, legalisation through the ministry and the embassy is needed. We check this for every case.

Is the apostille added before or after the translation?

Usually on the original first; then the document and the apostille are translated together. Some countries also want an apostille on the translation — we plan for that from the start.

Can I get an apostille if I live abroad?

Yes. You send us a power of attorney or the originals by post, we complete the procedure and ship the documents to your address.
