Power of attorney

Bilingual powers of attorney for property, inheritance, vehicles and banks — notarised, apostilled and translated for use here or abroad.

A power of attorney lets another person act on your behalf — to sell or buy property, complete an inheritance, register a vehicle or collect documents. If you live abroad, a power of attorney signed there must be notarised, apostilled or legalised, and translated to be valid in North Macedonia. The same applies the other way round.

We draft the power of attorney, usually bilingually, so that it is accepted both by the notary who certifies it and by the institution that will rely on it. We then arrange the notarisation, the apostille and the certified translation — here or through our offices abroad.

Frequently asked questions

I live abroad. Can I give a power of attorney without travelling?

Yes. We draft the text, you sign it before a notary or at a consulate where you live, and we take care of the apostille, the translation and the delivery.

How long is a power of attorney valid?

It depends on the wording and the institution. Some institutions accept powers of attorney no older than six months — we check this in advance.

Can one power of attorney cover several matters?

It can, but individual institutions often want a separate, precise power of attorney. We will suggest the safest option.
